Fans of volleyball in the Philippines are in for a real treat because beginning on June 14, the mobile service provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) will put the highly anticipated FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) right at their fingertips via the GigaPlay App.
The FIVB VNL is a major international competition that takes place in six different cities around the world. It brings together the top 16 volleyball nations to compete against one another in a round robin tournament.
The second leg of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League for the Women’s Division is scheduled to take place in the Philippines from June 14 to 19, and the second leg of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League for the Men’s Division is scheduled to take place from June 21 to 26. All of the matches will be streamed live on the GigaPlay app offered by Smart.
Volleyball league teams from the United States of America, Japan, Italy, Thailand, China, Canada, Bulgaria, and Belgium are competing in the Women’s Division of the tournament. The Men’s Division features teams from Japan, Argentina, Slovenia, Netherlands, France, China, Italy, and Germany.
Exhibition Matches Played by Team Philippines in the PNVF International Challenge
The Philippine Women’s National Volleyball Team and the Philippine Men’s National Volleyball Team will both participate in the action as they compete against other top-tier national teams in must-watch exhibition matches during the PNVF International Challenge. These matches will also be streamed live on the GigaPlay app offered by Smart.
On June 11 at 6 p.m. and June 12 at 4 p.m., respectively, the Philippine Women’s National Team will compete against Thailand, known as the “Queens of Volleyball in Asia,” and Japan, while the Philippine Men’s National Team will go up against Germany and Japan on June 16 at 4 p.m. and June 27 at 4 p.m., respectively.
Downloading the GigaPlay app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, creating an account, and then watching the match while connected to Smart mobile data or PLDT Home WiFi are the only requirements for Smart subscribers who want to watch the FIVB VNL matches on GigaPlay.
